(This) Allison is a Senior Software Engineer looking to leverage a decade building a variety of software applications into a career aligned with her interest in security and she is especially interested in fuzzing techniques and vulnerability research.
Before a year of teaching programming to elementary and middle school students,mostly in the Portland Public School system, Allison was a Senior Browser Engineer at Mozilla. She still volunteers as a module peer for Data Privacy in Firefox and has been a peer since the module’s inception. Her past projects include Multiprocess Firefox, also known as e10s. She has worked on Firefox Sync, Firefox Desktop, Firefox for Android(XUL version), Firefox for Android(native version), Firefox Sync for Android(native version), and Firefox for Windows 8 Touch (known as Metrofox).
She has previously worked as a software engineer for Amazon, Cisco, FactSet Research Systems, and Carnegie Mellon’s Biorobotics Laboratory. Allison has a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Her hobbies include silversmithing, sewing, and mentoring new female engineers and disadvantaged high school students in the Portland area.
